Our 2016 Vintner's Blend was made from our first vintage in 2016. The fruit was gently picked, sorted and fermented in 1 ton lots to allow for the best expression of each clone and vineyard block. 60% Cabernet Franc, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Petit Verdot, aged 10 months in neutral French oak, this is a very giving wine and has a lot to offer for many years to come. Only 200 cases produced.

Vineyard Notes
The blocks of fruit that went into this blend are facing due South and lie between 1200' and 1500’ elevation. The blocks sit on a variety of soil types; sandy loam, granite, greenstone and shale.

Winemaker Notes
2016 is a year that has come back to surprise many of us. The growing season was fine, fairly unremarkable. Harvest was smooth and spread out, with no hurricane pressure at the end of the season. The wines at the time didn’t really stand out . However, the wines now are expressing themselves beautifully 8 years into aging and still have time to go.
